The sixth grade class went on an overnight trip to Évora on May 18th. The first stop was the mini stonehenge of Évora - Cromeleque dos Almendres. It was really neat to see all the stones in the circle. After finishing the first activity, which was mapping, we went to the giant menhair, wrote a story for our second activity and had lunch there. After that, we went to the ruins of a Roman Villa and answered questions in Portuguese. Then, we went to the Dom Fernando Hotel. We had a great swim in the pool and then went back to our rooms to get familiar with the hotel. After dinner, we did some activities related to our visits during the day. The next day, we went to downtown Évora to see the Temple of Diana and did a drawing activity. After the activity, we bought our own lunch and had some fun shopping. Finally, we went to the dolman and saw what we thought was an ancient burial site. Overall, Évora was great!
