2010 IB Art Exhibit Presents Positive, Non-traditional Themes
The four IB Art students this year worked hard over the last two years. They overcame many challenges and the individual personalities permeated the artwork. Sofia Andrews’ interpretation of urbanization was technically precise and eloquent. Vanessa Brenninkmeijer's theme of Man versus Nature beautifully demonstrated man’s positive influence on nature. Sofia Cardoso took “love cliches” to another level with her fun and playful interpretation. Inez Crato showed the hidden messages behind her theme of appearance versus reality.
All the students took a nontraditional positive point of view on themes and ideas, which society traditionally portrays as negative. Their perception of these ideas was refreshing and eye opening. Sofia Andrews, Vanessa Brenninkmeijer, Sofia Cardoso and Inez Crato created an excellent body of work.
