Students Put Lessons into Practice on Geography Field Trip
On a bright, sunny, but cold day in January, the High School Geography class took a field trip to the Colares River. The class visited the source of the river near Sintra and the mouth of the river at Praia das Maçãs. The students compared the different fluvial processes at both locations through data calculation, measurement and observation. Students then wrote research papers based on their findings. It was a great outing and gave students a chance to enrich their classroom work with real-world experience.
